21st Century Toys, the maker of the “The Ultimate Soldier, 32X, Cold Steel & XD toy lines” was really the catalyst responsible for the resurgence of today’s “Military Toy” market. In the early 1990s collectors, like us, finally found accurately scaled & intricately detailed uniforms & weapons for 12-inch or 1/6 scaled figures.

The first to appear on the scene were Vietnam & Modern Era gear. WWII items soon followed.

A few years later, ToysRus was looking to carry an exclusive 4-inch figure line due to the decline and interest of the fledgling GI Joe 4-inch or 1/18 scale figure line produced by Hasbro. 21st Century Toys wasted no time in answering the call to glory with their own “Extreme Detail” action figure line. World War II was revisited like NEVER before!

This new line of pint-sized American GI’s & German “Sturmtroopers” along with a myriad of Tanks, Jeeps, Half-Tracks & Aircraft literally blew the doors wide open for the company, as well as, a burgeoning new market. The rest is, as we say – history! Thank you, thank you, thank you guys!
